Listening to Die Feen on German Radio last night, live from Leipzig, it occurred to me that although there are many DVDs of the mature Wagner canon, and indeed a Rienzi from Berlin, we lack a legitimate DVD of the first two ie Die Feen and Das Liebesverbot. Unofficial copies of performances from the early 1980s are available, but I do think there`s a gap in the market here.
